Welcome
We are opening our very own TWCS Publishing House.
FanFiction writers have notoriously been dismissed in the world of publishing. We have seen amazing potential in many stories within the fandom, therefore it has become our goal to give relatively unknown authors an opportunity to be published. For many of our authors, what started out as a fun hobby has inspired them to create their own original works.
Our vision:
1. Help authors achieve their publishing dream with an original work of fiction.
2. Allow authors the opportunity to make money off of their ideas, creating a hobby that gives back.
3. Provide readers with original works that relate to the stories they have loved on FanFiction but are not identical. We will not reproduce FanFictions with only name changes. It will be pertinent that you make your story your own. You no longer have to fit around someone else's novel. The characters, settings, plots, etc. should be developed to show your growth as an author. Think of it as writing a FanFiction of your own FanFiction.
4. Will it cost you, the author, anything? There are no costs or hidden extras that cost the author.
5. Open our publishing up to all aspiring authors. Do you have to be a member of Club Java? No, you do not. Club Java will have special offers and cost savings within the site but to be published through TWCS Publishing House, you do not have to be a member.
6. Create an approachable and friendly place where authors are free to ask questions. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Click on the Contact us on the left hand side of the screen. We will get back to you as soon as possible and talk you through the process.
7. Supply all authors with an editor. Upon signing with us you will be paired with an editor. We will speak with you individually in order to meet your needs and get your manuscript print ready. Will we be validating what gets printed? Not exactly. However, we do reserve the right to reject works if and when necessary. We are putting our books into stores and strive to have our publishing house and our authors taken seriously. The manuscripts we print must be polished and to publishing standards in order to achieve this.
Ebooks is a fairly new way to publish. We would like to concentrate on this area as there are not many good novels currently available in this format. We believe we can change that. We will still offer printed books, however our focus is ebooks at present. Our first books in print will be in October 2010.
